Gembira Loka

Gembira Loka is a vast green shadowy park with an artificial lake for boating. In the middle of this zoo, river Gajah Wong is flowing. Here we can see many kinds of animals: Sumatra’s elephants, one-horned rhinoceros, komodos, and tigers.We can see several kinds of monkey: orangutan, beruk (monkey which could be trained to pick-up coconuts), siamang (black singing monkey with big air bubble on his neck). There are also collection of deers, birds crocodiles, snakes, etc. We must be happy here, because Gembira means happy and Loka means place.
